Hannah Ellington
Winner of the Frances and Dorsey Whittington Competition
Soprano Hannah Ellington is a junior Vocal Performance major at Birmingham-Southern College and a two-time winner of the Dorsey and Frances Whittington Competition. Recent roles include: Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Adina in L'Elisir d&apos'amore in BSC's fall opera scenes, and the narrator role of Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia at Harrower Opera Theater in Atlanta (2008). Ms. Ellington is also a winner of the Birmingham district of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Ms. Ellington frequently sings with Opera Birmingham, appearing as First Handmaiden in last year's production of Turandot. She can be seen this April in the role of Belinda in BSC's production of Dido and Aenas.
