Paul Morton

PAUL MORTON has been playing trumpet since age 11. He attended the University of Alabama where he studied with Michael Johnson. While at the University, he played with various student ensembles, the University brass quintet and the "Tuscaloosa Community Orchestra". Since that time, Paul has been a freelance professional musician playing orchestral and solo literature throughout Birmingham and surrounding areas. Paul is a former member and soloist with the "Magic City Community Orchestra", and former orchestra directory at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

After 20 years in the data processing field, Paul has turned his attention to music full time, presently pursuing a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance at the University of Montevallo where he is studying with Dr. Joseph Ardovino. In addition to the "Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra", Paul is a member of the popular German dance band, "Die Mitternaechters".
